Description
1Password is growing and seeking a Staff IT Engineer to lead its Device Infrastructure Services team in transforming its device management patterns towards devops and AI-enabled operations.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of IT and enterprise endpoint management experience, including 2+ years at a senior or staff IC level, with a track record of building and managing endpoints with Gitops practices.
Responsibilities:
- Own the technical direction of Device Infrastructure Services, including tooling and standards for ~2,000 endpoints
- Drive the technical direction of a DevOps operating model for the fleet
- Lead the adoption of responsible agentic AI across the device team
- Act as the final escalation point for high-severity endpoint incidents
- Partner across IT, Security, and product teams to build custom solutions
- Assess and pilot new tooling and drive build-vs-buy decisions
Requirements:
- 7+ years of IT and enterprise endpoint management experience
- 2+ years of experience at a senior or staff IC level
- Broad knowledge of enterprise endpoint management and deep operating system-level experience
- Practical experience using AI tools to enable or accelerate IT operations
- Strong scripting and IaC ability (Bash, Python, and Terraform)
- Deep working knowledge of enterprise security fundamentals
