At Swiggy, Software Development Engineers I play a crucial role in designing and architecting complex systems end-to-end.
They work closely with product and business teams to understand feature requirements and specifications, and then translate them into high-level and low-level designs.
This enables the team to develop mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Enable best practices to help the team achieve their technical tasks and continually improve the technology of the product/team.
- Develop user-facing features and apps.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Strive for pixel-perfect implementation on all Android devices.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Understand the internals of third-party libraries being used.
Requirements
- B Tech/M Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable college with 1-3 years of experience in a product development company.
- Proficient understanding of React Native and React fundamentals.
- Experience and working knowledge of Android Native development.
- Good understanding of ES6 and above.
- Experience with TypeScript is required.
- Sound knowledge of design patterns and practices for writing clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Understanding of Version Control Systems like Git.
- Experience in using supplementary libraries like Redux, Redux Saga, Zustand, Lerna, etc. is a plus.
- Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) for Unit Testing with libraries like Jest, react-native-testing library, etc.
