Description
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Thornhill, Ontario. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and delivering electrical systems that power critical infrastructure for communities. You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions that matter.
Your Impact:
- Design and deliver electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities
- Lead projects and mentor junior engineers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions
- Prepare proposals, technical memoranda, design reports, and detailed electrical specifications
- Engage in dynamic project collaboration and meetings with design team, clients, consultants, and contractors
- Collaborate with local utilities and other key players to ensure seamless project execution
- Work closely with equipment manufacturers and suppliers
- Conduct site surveys and gather critical field data
- Perform engineering analysis and electrical system studies
- Manage budgets, schedules, and unexpected twists
- Review design documents for compliance with engineering standards, codes, and best practices
- Facilitate collaboration between design and construction teams
- Share expertise with junior staff and contribute to business development
The Skills That Set You Apart:
- 10+ years of electrical consulting design experience in the industrial sector
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng designation in Ontario (PEO)
- Expertise in low- and medium-voltage systems
- Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower for power system studies
- Knowledge of industrial automation and communication protocols
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards
- Valid driver's licence with a clean abstract
