Description
We are seeking a SAP S4 Principal Systems Engineer-Sales to join our Media Tech team, which helps shape the future of our corporate systems. You will influence strategy and drive innovation across finance platforms, focusing on SAP (S4 HANA) and partner solutions. You will contribute to delivering and managing complex technical changes and optimizing systems to maximize value and align with BBC business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a technical roadmap for systems and services within their scope
- Responsible and accountable for Small/Medium technical changes, clarifying requirements submitted by BBC Business Users and managing a change process followed by an outsourced technology provider
- Acting as a trusted team member for larger projects with technical change elements, working closely with Project Management and Project Stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes
- Building relationships with Internal and External stakeholders, offering support and influence focused on best practice, achievable goals
- Working with Outsourced Technology partners and Internal Stakeholders to support the resolution of Incidents at varied severity levels
- Coach colleagues and share good practice across modules
Requirements:
- Significant SAP functional experience, with in-depth expertise in SAP SD plus one other FI/CO, MM or PS modules
- Hands-on S/4HANA experience, including at least one full implementation or migration lifecycle and ongoing support
- Extensive experience and system specialist for Finance modules of SAP -S/4 and other Finance related systems
- Experience with SAP Finance and Controlling, SAP S/4, detailed SAP integration knowledge with SD, MM, FI-CO, PS, Intercompany, Tax, Financial Statement processes, E-invoicing and integration (SAP-BTP)
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels, translating and imparting technical concepts into audience-relevant information
Desired Skills:
- Experience with SAP S/4 Hana (FI/CO, SD, MM, PS), Treasury, SAP Fiori, Concur, SAP Signavio, SAP Joule, SAP Walkme, Workiva, One Source, Kyriba, Taxually, Blackline, BTP (CPI, APIM, E-invoicing)
- Understanding of media-specific processes relating to an organization's financial operation
- Familiarity with rights, royalties, or content-cost processes
- Understanding the necessity of security, access control, and segregation of duties in system design
- Ability to write and communicate complex technology solutions in a clear and coherent way
