Description
We are seeking a Test Engineer to contribute to the delivery of high-quality technology solutions by planning, designing, executing, and improving functional, non-functional, regression, automation, SIT, and UAT testing activities.
The successful candidate will support the continuous expansion and improvement of the test suite, ensure adherence to testing standards and governance, and work closely with business, technology, QA, development, and stakeholder teams to validate that solutions meet agreed business requirements and quality expectations.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies
- Create and execute automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools
- Perform root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution
- Participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organisation's technology communities
Requirements:
- Experience in software testing, quality assurance, test automation, or related technology delivery roles
- Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle, software development lifecycle, and core testing processes, techniques, and methodologies
- Hands-on experience in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, API testing, and automation testing
- Strong knowledge of test design techniques, test estimation, test scenario creation, test case preparation, test execution, defect logging, defect verification, and test reporting
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, REST Assured, Karate, AutomatePro, or equivalent tools
- Good working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or similar technologies
Desirable skills:
- Experience working on banking, financial services, risk, control, compliance, regulatory, or investment banking applications
- Exposure to ServiceNow, IRM, control technology platforms, reporting workflows, or enterprise risk systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and automated regression execution
- Domain, testing, or technical certifications such as ISTQB, Selenium, Agile, DevOps, or equivalent would be an advantage
