Description
As a Senior QA Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of software products throughout the development lifecycle.
You will work closely with software developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to define test strategies, design and execute tests, develop test automation, investigate defects, and improve overall product quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning QA activities for assigned features, from requirements and design through implementation and release
- Reviewing product requirements and technical designs to identify test scenarios, risks, dependencies, and edge cases
- Defining test strategies and developing detailed test plans and test cases for complex software features
- Performing hands-on manual testing, including functional, integration, regression, negative, and end-to-end testing
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests to increase test coverage and improve testing efficiency
- Integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines and analyzing test execution results
- Investigating test failures and product defects, performing root-cause analysis, and working closely with developers to resolve issues
- Analyzing logs, test results, system behavior, and configurations to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple components
- Collaborating closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other QA engineers throughout the development lifecycle
- Identifying quality risks and proactively communicating issues, dependencies, and potential release risks
- Working with complex cloud, virtualization, distributed-system, and containerized environments
- Leveraging AI-based tools and technologies to improve test design, automation, test analysis, troubleshooting, and overall QA efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline
- Typically, 5+ years of experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript
- Experience with test automation frameworks and infrastructure
- Knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
