Description
As a Network Administrator at Ubisoft Montreal, you will contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our global network team's infrastructure. You will also resolve complex issues reported by our partners and support other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain network equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
- Deploy and maintain private network connections and dedicated direct interconnections
- Evaluate new requirements and technical designs, and help define standards, guidelines, and metrics
- Increase automation to improve consistency and efficiency of activities
- Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure and services, including complex issues reported by partners
- Apply network security policies and procedures
- Manage network capacity, improve performance, and contribute to network and system expansion plans
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on network hardware and software
- Respond to user queries and service requests
- Support new team members and act as a technical resource
Qualifications:
- In-depth experience in network administration
- Expertise in BGP and OSPF routing protocols
- Knowledge of switching technologies, including VLANs, STP, VTP, EtherChannel, and layer 2 and layer 3 protocols
- Ability to find adapted approaches to complex and unprecedented network problems
- Familiarity with Linux and cloud networks in AWS or Azure is an asset
- Experience with Python, Ansible, and automated processes, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), is an asset
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information to different management levels
- Sound judgment and critical thinking, as well as a willingness to report governance or priority issues and preserve information integrity and confidentiality
