Description
WSP is seeking a Consultant - Fire and Life Safety Engineering specializing in smoke and egress modeling for its St. Louis, MO office. Other acceptable office locations include Boston, MA, Columbia, MD, and Houston, TX.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to ensure high-quality fire protection and life safety solutions. Responsibilities include:
- Performing computer fire modeling tasks using CFD analysis
- Conducting performance-based design analyses and smoke control analyses
- Developing fire protection and life safety strategies
- Providing expert technical guidance to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Driving continuous improvement in design methodologies and technological advancements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with FDS, CONTAM, and Pathfinder modeling
- EIT or FE certification
- 3-5 years of experience in the fire protection and life safety industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The expected salary range for this position is $79,000 - $107,000.
