Description
Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a full-time general surgery registrar to join our team at Whipps Cross Hospital. You'll build your skills in elective surgery and elective lower GI cancer clinics, spending time in clinic and theatre, seeing patients before and after their operations and gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of planned general surgery.
The post has limited exposure to emergency work, making it suitable for someone who wants to focus on elective practice, with time to learn and be supported.
As a Trust Doctor in General Surgery, you'll work in a friendly, supportive team guided by our WeCare values. You'll have GMC registration and relevant surgical training, such as MRCS, and a genuine interest in elective general surgery. We're welcoming applications from doctors of all backgrounds.
Job Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Completion of ST2 level or equivalent
- Experience of Clinical Audit
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCS/FRCS or equivalent
- GMC Registration

- Higher degree
- Published in peer review journal
- Presentation in national/international meeting
- Formal experience in education and training
- Experience in management
- Endoscopy skills
- Laparoscopic surgery experience
Salary: £51,931 to £69,976 a year
Contract: Fixed term, 6 months, full-time
