PRN Physical Therapist

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist's Outpatient Physical Therapy Department is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to support our outpatient therapy teams through weekend coverage. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care and possess strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provides patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring comprehensive and functional evaluations and treatments according to the Standard of Practice.
• Maintains accurate patient documentation, completing written patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes per policy.
• Meets department financial and productivity standards, understanding budgeted expectations and maintaining productivity standards.
• Participates in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services, identifying quality and operational opportunities.
• Promotes professional development and education of other health care workers, providing representation on committees and conducting in-service training programs.
• Supervises physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students to develop their clinical skills and ensure quality patient care.
• Communicates professionally and timely with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers.
• Provides appropriate patient care according to age/developmental guidelines, demonstrating age/developmentally specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Adheres to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physical therapy school required; M.S. or D.P.T. preferred.
• Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the applicable state with current licensure; active member of APTA encouraged but not required.
• CPR certification required every two years.
