Description
MongoDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Atlas Clusters Organization in Dublin. The organization builds MongoDB Atlas, a database as a service offering that allows users to deploy fault-tolerant, secure, globally distributed MongoDB clusters in minutes.
Responsibilities
- Build and design new features for MongoDB Atlas
- Contribute to and lead complex technical projects
- Work with stakeholders throughout MongoDB to build the roadmap and product offerings
- Collaborate with customers and support engineers to fix issues and participate in the on-call rotation
- Develop the codebase, best practices, and design principles with team members
- Foster an inclusive and respectful work environment according to MongoDB's Core Values
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience
- Skilled in writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language (e.g., Go, Java, C#)
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider technology (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Led the launch of a new module and maintained it in production
- Excellent communication skills
- Eager to solve tough problems and collaborate with others
Success Measures
- In 3 months, ship code into production and collaborate with the team to solve tough problems
- In 6 months, contribute to a large project and join the on-call rotation
- In 12 months, design new features, lead development work, and become a go-to expert on parts of the system
