Description
As a Senior Systems/Software Engineer (FDE/SRE) at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you will lead end-to-end technical scoping, architecture design, system integration, and deployment of complex solutions across customer and production cloud environments.
You will design, build, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS/GCP using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Your responsibilities will also include driving production support, operational automation, and incident management for highly available enterprise cloud services, as well as participating in 24x7 production support and on-call operations.
You will define and maintain SLOs, high availability, low latency, and operational performance across production environments, implement and improve observability and telemetry using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, and lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.
Additionally, you will work closely with customers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to deploy, troubleshoot, and operate solutions throughout their lifecycle, and develop automation and production tooling using Python or Go.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of overall engineering experience, including 3+ years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience and 2+ years of Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) or customer-facing deployment experience.
Strong hands-on programming skills in Python or Go, including REST API integration and automation, are required, along with experience with AWS or GCP cloud environments, Docker and Kubernetes, Terraform and/or Ansible, and Linux.
