Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical to join our team in Pasig City, National Capital Region (NCR), Philippines.

As a Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical, you will be responsible for preparing the mechanical design requirements of projects and mentoring and guiding other mechanical design engineers in the team.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design of mechanical services design of building services and associated systems of work.
• Leads and supervises the Mechanical Engineering team in implementing project objectives, plans and programs within the department as directed by the management.
• Ensures that project designs/studies from clients are completed in accordance with acceptable prescribed standards for each requesting party's place/country of origin and its intent/content.
• Responsible for liaison with local supply authorities to gain approvals, when necessary.
• Manages and maintains records of all incoming and outgoing drawings from the office in accordance with WSP QA procedures.
• Liaises with WSP personnel and WSP's partners, both local and foreign affiliates, and clients.
• Liaises and coordinates with other disciplines of the design team.
• Manages and controls outputs in accordance with the design work program.
• Attends meetings when required, both local and overseas.
• Responsible for training and development of junior staff and Mechanical Engineering team.
• Creates regular reports on project status for management.
• Exhibits behaviour consistent with that of a professional member of WSP.
• Keeps abreast of technical updates and advises management.
• Complies with all role-specific SHEQ obligations.
• Provides key technical expertise across a broad range of projects.
• Develops experience in managing small teams.
• Contributes to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organisation.
• Audits other more junior staff.
• Applies safety in design processes on projects.
• Prepares high-level technical reports and reviews medium-size project reports.
• Project leads medium-sized multi-discipline projects.
• Uses HVAC software and 3D modelling to develop mechanical system designs.

Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Knowledge of Camel program or other HVAC load estimating software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
