Description
We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Compliance Specialist to support our global indirect tax compliance processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting transaction tax returns, maintaining tax compliance metrics, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Support S&P Global's global indirect tax compliance processes, including VAT/GST and other transaction taxes
- Prepare, reconcile, and submit transaction tax returns and related compliance filings
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects
- Maintain and support monthly tax compliance metrics, reporting, and tracking tools
- Support the Indirect Tax team in identifying and pursuing tax credit and refund opportunities
- Support and coordinate indirect tax audits, inquiries, and compliance reviews
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects that support the company's strategic business priorities
- Perform system testing and validation of tax-related transactions
- Prepare monthly transaction tax account reconciliations and related journal entries
- Provide timely guidance and effective support to internal stakeholders on transaction tax matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting, tax, or a related financial role
- Experience in indirect taxes, including VAT/GST, is preferred
- Experience with Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, or similar ERP systems is an advantage
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of ERP and financial reporting systems, with Oracle Fusion or SAP experience considered a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and regions
