Position Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will select, pick, package and label medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with CVS specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.
• Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices.
• Perform functions and responsibilities of an Operations Assistant as needed.
• Prepare and restock the filling station with medications and supplies as needed.
• Clean all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas.

Compensation: $18.50-20.02 based on experience

Site hours: Monday-Thursday 2:30PM - 9:00PM Friday 1:00PM-5:00PM

Required Qualifications

• Current Nevada State Board of Pharmacy-Pharmacy Technician License
• Must be able to stand for duration of shift (8-10 hours)
• Must be able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. for duration of shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs. during a shift.
• Reaching and grasping objects at various levels is required.
• Utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery.
• Regularly work near and around moving machinery (conveyor belts).

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of work experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Three months of work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.
• Three months of work computer experience.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
