Financial Reporting Lead

The Financial Reporting Lead ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards, and organisational policies.

You will prepare consolidation journal entries, eliminate intercompany transactions, and consolidate divisional and subsidiary financial accounts. You will advise executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance, exercising independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues.

As part of Humana's Medicaid expansion, you will have a direct impact on supporting corporate accounting functions. Responsibilities include:

• Interpreting reporting requirements and guidelines to complete reporting based on technical requirements.
• Understanding core Humana processing functions related to financial results.
• Assisting with data consolidation, preparation, reconciliation, and submission of reporting using tools like PLSQL, Databricks, or other data retrieval and processing tools.
• Guiding and leading 1-3 direct reports who will assist with report and reconciliation preparation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, and/or MBA/CPA.
• 5-7 years of financial accounting/reporting experience.
• Moderate experience with Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Previous experience with financial reporting and/or data analysis.
• Previous experience in working with large data sets, querying, or consolidation of results for reporting; exposure to SQL or querying tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Humana experience working in Finance/Accounting.
• Previous Humana experience with claims, premium, or membership data warehouse tables and data flows.

Additional Information:

• Remote KY or IN; this position requires approximately two days in the office each week in Louisville, KY.
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.
• Pay Range: $104,000 - $143,000 per year.
• Eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
