Description
As a Production Planner at 3M, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with innovative people around the world and make an impact by creating production and purchasing schedules, utilizing supply chain tools and processes, and driving improvements in service, cost, and inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Create production and purchasing schedules for area of responsibility to meet service targets
- Utilize supply chain tools and processes to make data-driven decisions to improve service, cost, and inventory
- Identify and lead cross-functional projects across the business to drive improvements in service, cost, and inventory
- Provide high degree of analysis to support decision making
- Publish and present relevant metrics and results
- Analyze capacity to determine alignment with requirements
- Work closely with business to understand customers and forecasts
- Work closely with operations to ensure alignment to business requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Two years combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing
- Current valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Analytics
- ASCM (APICS) CPIM certification
- Three years combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing
- Experience with SAP ERP software
- 3M systems experience
- Experience in production planning
- Knowledge of supply planning, demand planning, and integrated business planning processes
