Description
We are seeking a Network Administrator to operate, maintain, and monitor ACBN and MPE communications networks. The successful candidate will configure routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Provide network infrastructure support, including point-to-point installs and maintenance, long-haul circuit management and operations, loading circuit encryption equipment, and managing network cable patching.
- Operate, maintain, and configure routers/switches/voice systems/VoIP/video bridges, Information Transfer Nodes (ITNs), communications closet wiring.
- Maintain Network Encryption devices.
- Operate, maintain, install, align, repair, key, and remove routers, crypto, switches, and modems.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor active data network or converged infrastructure environments and related network equipment.
- Manage and maintain the Wide Area Network (WAN)/LAN infrastructure.
- Provide support in the deployment and configuration of comprehensive routing and switching network designs.
- Monitor network issues and outages in accordance with directives and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot, implement, and provide configuration of network hardware and software.
- Analyze functional problems and determine techniques/requirements feasible for expedited solutions.
- Apply best practices in compliance with DISA guidelines.
- Utilize network management tools (i.e., SolarWinds) to monitor, evaluate, and report health statistics of WAN/LAN.
Requirements:
- Minimum of six years' experience, of which at least four years must be specialized experience in operating, maintaining and monitoring communications networks.
- BA/BS in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance.
- DoW 8570.01M IAT Level II Certification.
- Cisco Certified Network Administrator or Cisco Certified Network Professional.

Salary Range: $72,250 - $97,750
