Description
Samsara is looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to join their Commercial Navigation team. The team builds navigation inside the Samsara Driver app and supporting experiences around it. The successful candidate will own features end-to-end, deliver high-quality engineering standards, and build across mobile, backend services, and web.
Responsibilities:
- Own Features End to End: Take full ownership of navigation initiatives from design through production rollout
- Deliver with High Engineering Standards: Write maintainable, well-tested code and hold a high bar in design and code review
- Build Across the Product: Design and ship features across mobile, backend services, and web
- Turn Ambiguity into Action: Clarify what you are building and why
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience
- Proven experience shipping customer-facing software in production across multiple surfaces
- Comfortable using AI development tools with judgment in day-to-day engineering
Nice to Have:
- Experience building mobile applications, including React Native
- Experience shipping and maintaining features over several years
- Domain expertise in logistics or industrial IoT
Salary: $130,900-$260,000 USD per year
