Plant Engineering Technician

As a Plant Engineering Technician at 3M's Brownwood facility, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and protecting assets.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and protect assets in the 3M Brownwood facility
• Collaborate with engineering and production personnel during troubleshooting, modification, fabrication, machining, welding, and repair of plant utility and process equipment
• Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, AC/DC electrical systems, PLC's, HMI's, motors, controls, VFD's, and related equipment
• Assist in developing plans to correct equipment deficiencies and determining long-term solutions for equipment issues
• Complete other duties as assigned or necessary, including working overtime, various shifts, and being on-call

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution
• Four years of Industrial Maintenance experience in a multi-craft mechanical/electrical or controls maintenance position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two-year technical degree/diploma in a multi-craft technology program
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated proficiency working with electro-mechanical equipment
• Advanced troubleshooting and repair experience working with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Experience in Industrial lasers
• Strong problem-solving and computer skills
