Description
We are seeking a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Edmund House Care Home in Scunthorpe. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents. You will work closely with our chefs to prepare and serve meals, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
- Assist chefs with meal preparation, plating, and food trolley setup
- Monitor stock rotation, adhere to company policies, and follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines
- Help with catering for special events
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Passion for food and delivering excellent service
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and residents
