GNC Engineering Manager

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineering Manager to join our Flight Engineering team that supports multiple development efforts including Advanced Air Dominance Platforms in Hazelwood, MO.

The GNC Engineering Manager will lead, develop, and motivate employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Guidance, Navigation and Controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of the GN&C team maturing a complex flight controls system on a rapid development program. They will also lead talent acquisition activities to effectively staff future work scope, employee development and engagement to support career growth, retention objectives, recognition and empowerment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. They must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role or have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.” Additionally, they should have 5 years of experience in a Flight engineering discipline, 3 years of experience working in GNC related engineering, and 3 years of Cross IPT Leadership and Coordination Experience.

Preferred qualifications include current TS Clearance, experience with Rapid Design of Fixed Wing Aircraft, Advanced Design, Flight Testing, Scheduling, Budget and Planning, Prior Experience with Technical Guidance and Oversight of Large Multi-skilled Teams, and Mentoring or Technical Lead Engineer Experience.
