Control Qualitative Analyst

We are seeking a Control Qualitative Analyst to join our team in Madrid. As a Control Qualitative Analyst, you will be responsible for performing qualitative controls on first-line business activities. This role will allow you to gain knowledge of existing processes related to qualitative controls and their improvement, as well as projects from their inception and the control activity related to them.

Responsibilities

• Understand Spanish regulation regarding investment services and conduct rules, their implementation, and development processes.
• Maintain a control vision for both existing processes and new controls creation for products in approval process (NPA).
• Execute controls and analyse results to identify risks and propose mitigating measures.
• Elaborate control reports, ensuring clear, complete, and timely information reporting.

Requirements

• Experience in compliance or audit area, performing monitoring related to compliance in investment services and conduct rules in banking activities.
• Knowledge of regulatory project implementation processes and necessary actions for correct development.
• University degree in Business Administration, Law, or both disciplines. Knowledge of investment products, including OTC derivatives, is valued.
• Fluent English, both oral and written, to work in an international environment.
• Advanced proficiency in office tools, with ability to automate data in Excel, Access, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, optimise workflows, and solve business problems, applying critical thinking to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI-generated results.
