Associate, Protective Services (EMEA)

Job Overview

Join Deliveroo's Global Safety and Security team as a Protective Services Agent in London. This office-based role involves delivering protective operations for individuals in the UK and international markets, with up to 25% travel mainly across the UK and Western Europe.

Responsibilities

• Run protective movements independently in London and as part of a detail on advances and international trips
• Apply intelligence to every movement, making necessary changes and escalating new information quickly
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments with site surveys, photos, and field notes
• Collaborate with vetted security providers, drivers, venues, and local partners, reporting performance issues
• Support crisis response, carrying out emergency action plans and participating in drills
• Build relationships with the people you protect and their teams to ensure effective protection

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in protective services, security, military, police, or other high-trust service operations
• Sound judgement and discipline to follow procedures, with the ability to adapt or escalate when needed
• Reliable delivery and discretion, with clear handovers and follow-through
• Coachability and ability to take direction and correction in the field
• Current SIA Close Protection licence, first-aid certificate (FREC 3 or equivalent), and full UK driving licence with a clean record
• Existing right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
• Availability to travel up to 25% of the time, sometimes at short notice

Nice to Have

• International operations experience
• Hostile environment awareness training (HEAT)
• Medical evacuation familiarity
• Working knowledge of surveillance, access control, alarm monitoring, and residential security technology
• Degree or equivalent professional experience

This role is active and operational, involving extended time on your feet and in vehicles, carrying equipment, driving in busy or poor conditions, working outdoors in varied weather, and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and travel across time zones.
