Description
Amazon's Finance as a Service (FaaS) team is looking for a technical lead to help build and scale a product that provides end-to-end back-office finance and accounting to sellers and partners.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to shape the vision and strategy of the product, design scalable and secure systems, mentor and grow the team, and drive adoption of emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively to shape the vision and strategy in building the product and solving business problems.
- Design scalable and secure systems that handle sensitive financial data.
- Mentor and grow the team while delivering with quality.
- Develop and deliver systems that are highly maintainable.
- Take a data-driven approach to making architecture decisions while managing business priorities.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies including agentic AI and LLMs.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers
