Description

We are seeking an Experienced Rendering Software Engineer to join our EA SPORTS FC team in Vancouver. As a Rendering Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the game creation process, working on the architectural design and implementation of rendering technology on multiple platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing core rendering features, engine components, and tools
  • Researching and implementing rendering techniques
  • Creating reusable and flexible rendering technologies
  • Writing technical design specifications
  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, testing, and debugging code, pipelines, and other rendering-related sub-components and packages
  • Profiling and optimizing rendering modules of a game engine
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest hardware and software changes enhancing the rendering domain

To qualify, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience with C++ development
  • Experience working on or creating real-time rendering engines
  • Strong communication skills to support an open working environment
  • A strong desire to improve visual quality together with art and design
  • Math skills, including trigonometry, calculus, and linear algebra
  • Experience with modern graphics APIs such as DirectX12, Vulkan, or Metal
  • Experience developing rendering techniques and implementing white papers
  • Excellent debugging and multi-threading skills
  • Experience with graphics performance analysis, optimization, and associated tools
  • Experience with art and content pipelines and workflows
  • Understanding of memory management, multiple processor use, and runtime optimization

In terms of compensation, we offer a salary range of $122,300 - $170,700 CAD per year, depending on location. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation time, sick leave, health and dental coverage, life insurance, and a retirement plan.
