Description
We are seeking an experienced inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Salt Lake Valley Hospitalist team on an as-needed basis (PRN). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering optimal patient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, initiate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with advancements in critical care and internal medicine.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Utah.
- Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- DEA Certificate II through V - DOJ Drug Enforcement Division.
- ACLS and BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient APP experience; hospitalist or critical care setting preferred.
