Project Engineer II - Design

AVL Mobility Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer II - Design to join our team. As a Project Engineer II - Design, you will provide technical, program, and account management expertise to cross-functional business development and engineering program team execution activities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and formulate workflow to meet specified deadlines with minimal supervision
• Lead specific phases of projects, including technical studies, specification writing, and establishing technical plans
• Coordinate project meetings, design reviews, and sign-off reviews
• Resolve engineering and design conflicts
• Perform 3D/2D CAD design of components and assemblies
• Own system engineering tasks, including architecture, resolving design constraints, and establishing interfaces
• Lead and author single team proposals
• Provide engineering leadership to project teams

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or applicable degree
• Master's degree preferred
• 3-5+ years of experience in area of expertise
• Excellent knowledge of engine systems design or manufacturing process
• Fluent in at least one major 3D CAD software; Siemens NX preferred
• Fluent in PDM software; Teamcenter preferred
• Experience with system engineering process, including P-diagrams, DFMEA's, and DVP&R
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Physical Requirements:

• Visual acuity to read and maintain body equilibrium
• Ability to climb stairs and lift objects up to 45 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
