Description
The Boeing Company is seeking a Test and Inspection Embedded Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to support its Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) and avionics Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Software Engineering teams in Hazelwood, MO.
The role involves developing, integrating, and testing C++/C# software for controlling NDI and ATE equipment, including robotics, LIDAR, ultrasound, and electrical test equipment. The engineer will also update User Interfaces (UIs), develop functional and unit tests, and maintain DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Windows runners in GitLab.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software integrated into embedded devices and systems
- Translating customer requirements into effective software designs
- Building code for specialized hardware and ensuring smooth integration with hardware components
- Analyzing and enhancing the efficiency and stability of embedded systems
- Supporting implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Tracking and evaluating internal and supplier software team performance
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or C#
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
- 3+ years of experience with test equipment software development and sustainment support
Preferred qualifications include:
- 9+ years of related work experience
- 5+ years of experience developing automation testing and maintaining automation tools
- 3+ years of experience with embedded software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test
The position offers a competitive salary, with a range of $126,650 - $171,350 for Experienced (Level 3) and $160,650 - $217,350 for Senior (Level 4) engineers, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
The role is 100% onsite, with locations in Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; or Saint Louis, MO.
