KCEN KAGS-TV, the NBC TEGNA affiliate in Temple, is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist (MSJ) to join their team.

As a journalist, you will create engaging stories, share them across multiple platforms, and showcase exceptional photography and editing skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct live shots in breaking news situations
• Develop story ideas and find credible sources
• Identify, write, and produce stories within a specific framework
• Research facts and maintain sources
• Shoot, write, produce, and edit on-air and online content
• Utilize creative production techniques and social media tools
• Attend editorial meetings and offer story ideas daily

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of reporting experience preferred
• Solid news judgment, strong communication skills, and creativity
• Proficiency in ENPS, EDIUS, and Axis graphics preferred
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle live breaking news situations
• Knowledge of Temple is a plus
