Description
Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager - Seating to lead the supply chain category management and execution vision and strategy in alignment with the Ford+ plan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the Supply Chain Category Management and Execution vision and strategy in alignment with the Ford+ plan. They will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the strategic plan and objectives which will lower costs, maintain a successful supplier base, and ensure the materials needed to drive Ford’s production goals and the Ford + plan.
The Senior Manager, Seating will be a part of the Supply Chain leadership team and report to the Director, Seating + Safety. This leadership role will lead a team of managers and individual contributors.
Responsibilities:
- Set Supply Chain Category Management and Execution vision and strategy in alignment with the Ford+ plan
- Create and implement the strategic plan and objectives to lower costs, maintain a successful supplier base, and ensure materials needed to drive Ford’s production goals
- Lead a team of managers and individual contributors
- Develop and implement comprehensive global commodity strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals and objectives
- Maintain Sourcing and Material Costing roadmap, value map, and opportunity funnel
- Focus on supplier management and contract manufacturing operations, including a deep understanding of supply chain
- Develop resiliency strategies to drive the Supply Chain transformation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain or similar
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Supply Chain or similar discipline
- 10+ years leadership experience
- Functional supply chain management experience gained through previous leadership in one or more areas of the function
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Ability to lead complex negotiations and excellent knowledge of contractual terms and conditions
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data to inform areas of opportunity
- Ability to influence change across all layers of an organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present in both forms with confidence at an executive level
- Skilled at navigating a large, matrixed environment
- Ability to break down complex issues and implement new and innovative strategies
