Vice President, Quality Assurance, GCCOO

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role VP, Quality Assurance GCCOO. The Group Chief Controls Oversight Office (GCCOO) is HSBC's central First Line of Defence (FLOD) function overseeing the Group's control environment.

The Vice President, Quality Assurance performs QA reviews of testing workpapers and outputs, communicates clear findings to stakeholders, drives continuous improvement, and helps evolve QA delivery using data, technology and AI to accelerate and expand coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Help deliver the independent global QA Programme for Testing by embedding QA across testing teams
• Evolve the QA approach by defining and refining methodology
• Explore and apply technology, automation, analytics and AI to increase QA coverage
• Execute Continuous Monitoring QA
• Execute Cold QA through post-review sampling
• Execute Hot QA via in-flight assessments
• Deliver Thematic QA deep-dives across reviews/teams
• Assess end-to-end testing quality
• Identify systemic themes and drive root-cause treatments
• Provide timely, actionable QA feedback and reporting

Requirements:

• 10-15 yrs of experience, 5+ years in key independent reviewer or tester roles
• Strong working knowledge of key controls concepts
• Hands-on experience designing and running independent evaluations
• SME in key risk domains
• Ability to produce senior-ready materials
• Experience adapting to new ways of working
• Strong ownership and coaching skills
• High personal integrity and sound judgement
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
