R&D Test & Service Technician

TGR Haas F1 Team, a stalwart of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, is seeking a skilled R&D Test & Service Technician to join their team in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of departmental and organisational objectives, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Component testing for performance, reliability, and proof testing, including non-destructive testing of the team's race car and pit equipment
• Assisting with the service and test process in a methodical manner while adhering to strict deadlines
• Collaborating with the R&D Lead Team Leader to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Performing non-destructive tests on car and off-car components
• Inspecting in-service car parts during turnaround
• Following test procedures for service and proof testing of on-car and off-car components
• Operating R&D test equipment, loggers, and sensors
• Documenting and publishing reports on test results and fault finding
• Implementing research and development tests as required
• Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the work department and all tools and equipment

Requirements:

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required; further education, including Trade School, Apprenticeship, or University Degree, is desirable
• 5 years of experience in a similar role or motorsport environment (preferably Formula 1)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of component tracking, report writing, and technical drawings
• Experience with MTS Software, Controller knowledge, and Servo Test Controller knowledge is essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a focus on attention to detail and quality
• Willingness to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including weekends and race days
