Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and verify safety concepts in safety-related projects. The successful candidate will execute risk assessments and safety analyses, ensure compliance with safety standards, and collaborate with system, software, and hardware teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop item definitions
• Develop HARAs
• Develop safety concepts
• Develop safety analysis
• Develop test specifications
• Execute safety tests
• Execute safety R&D tasks
• Identify and report project deviations proactively
• Contribute to lessons learned
• Provide technical support for offers

Requirements:

• Completed education in a technical university or equivalent with a focus on mechatronic, physics, software, electronics, or a related field
• Driver's license
• Certified Safety Engineer
• HV Basis Training
• Several years of proven experience in the development of safety-related projects from prototype to SoP
• In-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic development
• In-depth knowledge of system engineering
• In-depth knowledge of safety standards
• In-depth knowledge of AVL safety development processes
• Sound knowledge of software engineering basics
• Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering basics
• Very good English language skills
• Ability to identify and evaluate problems and present solutions to customers
• Willingness to travel
