As a Generalist Software Engineer on the EA SPORTS™ FC team, you will develop cutting-edge technology, tools, and frameworks to shape the next big leap forward in football gaming.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the design and development of core systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features
  • Driving technical innovation and excellence, optimising code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Working with designers and producers to translate creative concepts into reliable software solutions
  • Being responsible for your own work, collaborating in code reviews, and contributing to the quality of the code base
  • Sharing progress with your team, reporting to technical leadership and production, and being an active participant in team culture

You should have:

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably within game development
  • Strong experience working in C++ software development at a professional level
  • Experience debugging complex bugs through multiple techniques
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and OO design principles
  • Ability to quickly understand existing and unfamiliar code and modify it
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with multiple disciplines
  • Experience building software for multiple platforms is an asset
