The Director, Sales Partners & Agency (Greater China) will oversee the entire sales partner and agency ecosystem for the Greater China region and represent this side of the business within Pinterest.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the GCR sales partner and agency business to deliver against quarterly revenue, retention, and advertiser growth targets through partners.
- Own the partner/agency coverage model – define segmentation, service levels, account / partner assignment, and capacity planning to maximize ROI and consistent execution at scale.
- Develop and execute the strategic plan for the GCR partner/agency ecosystem, including clear priorities by partner type, vertical, and market.
- Build, lead, and coach a team of IMs and ICs, ensuring role clarity, performance standards, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for key agencies, resellers, and partners in Greater China; build and deepen executive relationships, align on joint business plans, and co-own performance.
- Partner with central programs and regional stakeholders to develop and deploy acquisition, activation, and retention programs for advertisers mediated through partners.
- Implement scalable processes, playbooks, and automation that enable efficient partner management and consistent advertiser experience across large portfolios.
- Achieve targets through rigorous planning and analytics,set goals and KPIs by partner segment, analyze portfolio and funnel performance, identify growth constraints, and translate insights into prioritized actions.
- Own forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and performance management for the partner/agency business; run regular reviews and define intervention plans to close gaps.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales Ops, Marketing, Product, Measurement, Policy, and Support to improve the partner-mediated advertiser experience and remove scale blockers.
- Represent Pinterest at selected partner and industry events, delivering compelling narratives about Pinterest’s value proposition for agencies and advertisers.
- Clearly communicate complex AI-generated data and performance insights, transforming them into compelling narratives and actionable strategies for clients.
- Stay ahead of emerging AI and digital marketing trends, advocating for the adoption of new AI tools and practices to drive ongoing client success.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of professional experience in digital media sales, online advertising, partnerships, or sales leadership, preferably with exposure to scaled or partner-led business segments.
- Demonstrated track record of leading and inspiring teams to deliver against ambitious revenue and growth targets.
- Well-acquainted with the Greater China advertising and partner/agency landscape; experience working directly with agencies, resellers, or similar partners is a must have.
- Experience in process management, operations management, and understanding how to grow and scale businesses through partners and programs.
- Ability to extract insights from data to inform strategic decisions and translate them into clear action plans for teams and partners.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment; able to manage ambiguity and change while keeping teams focused.
- Business proficiency in Mandarin and English for business purposes.
- Experience working with CRM and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Excel or similar sales productivity software).
- Strong executive presence and communication skills; comfortable presenting to internal leadership and external partners.
- Enthusiasm for keeping up with the latest AI and digital marketing trends, with a proactive approach to recommending and implementing innovative AI solutions for ongoing client impact.
- Comfortable with 30% of travel time.
- BA/BS degree.
