Description
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Admin Leader – Production Upfit to support our Scoresby operations.
This role is a key position within the Upfit function, acting as an extension of senior leadership to coordinate administrative, customer, supplier, and team support activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient operations, strong customer outcomes, and effective team support, while maintaining compliance with Cummins policies and standards.
As a senior support role, you will also act as a 2IC (second in charge) as delegated by leadership, helping drive consistency, communication, and performance across the Upfit area.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external customers, supporting communication and engagement.
- Coordinate site visits, plant tours, and customer events.
- Ensure customer orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner, with full ERP system tracking.
Supplier & Commercial Support
- Support supplier onboarding and management in line with Cummins standards.
- Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring correct coding and traceability.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier activity and delivery.
- Provide analysis and reporting on supplier performance and spend trends.
Upfit Team Support
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records (e.g., timesheets).
- Support team leaders with work allocation and coordination when required.
- Escalate team issues to leadership where necessary.
- Prepare and present monthly reports based on production outputs and customer demand.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Support compliance with Cummins HSE policies and ISO standards.
- Conduct and support JSOs and safety activities across the Upfit team.
- Maintain records relating to equipment, chemicals, tooling, and contractor compliance.
- Champion 5S, CI, and EHS improvement initiatives across the area.
General Administration & Leadership Support
- Provide high-level administrative support including scheduling, reporting, correspondence, and coordination.
- Act as a central liaison between leadership, teams, and stakeholders.
- Use judgement and initiative to manage competing priorities and improve workflow efficiency.
About You
You are a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic environment.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a Production or Logistics environment would be desired.
- Strong administration and coordination experience, ideally in manufacturing or operations.
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Experience improving and streamlining workflows and processes.
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder engagement capability.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using digital tools and automation (e.g., M365 Copilot) would be preferred.
- Previous exposure to team support or informal leadership responsibilities.
