Description
Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Devops) to join the Game Developer Experience (GDX) team. The successful candidate will report to a Senior Technical Director and work on building and scaling the CI ecosystem that powers builds and preflight systems across multiple EA games.
The role involves:
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitLab
- Writing automation scripts in C#, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
- Troubleshooting build failures and improving performance
- Supporting Git-based workflows, with Perforce being a plus
- Automating infrastructure using Terraform, Packer, Ansible, or Chef
- Collaborating with the team to improve reliability, observability, and developer workflows
- Contributing to incident response and continuous system improvements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience working on large-scale build/release systems or developer platforms, such as AAA games or DevOps platforms
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and workflows
- Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages, including C#, PowerShell, Bash, or similar
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication skills
