Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities:

• Organize AP/EMEA Project in accordance with the mission and goals of Global Payments Solutions IT
• Manage the project approach and build stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments, and changes
• Support a team with a global array of talents and responsibilities to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, and communications
• Manage, monitor, and report progress, issues, dependencies, risks to the global program management, internal stakeholders, and steering committees
• Make recommendations to influence decision-making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
• Enforce process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes, and continuous DevOps pipeline development
• Lead and drive the development and help run the program management office or project management practice
• Ensure adherence to standard controls and drive teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, risk management, security controls, and technology architecture design
• Establish effective governance and control, in line with Business Transformation Framework and coordination of cross-technology teams across Global Business and Global Function delivery
• Work with the IT teams and Product Owner to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, and corresponding management of dependencies

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Project/Development/DevOps
• In-depth understanding of Java/Python development, SQL, Oracle, Redis/Hazelcast distributed cache system, Linux
• In-depth understanding of CICD, Jenkins, Git, Jira/Confluence, Kubernetes, Docker/VM, Kafka (Distributed Message Queue)
• Proficient in Shell scripting, security protocol, Apache Gateway, TCP/IP network protocol, runtime Server Configurations, SSL Certificate setup, and automation via SonarIQ, Nexus
• Knowledge of Istio (grpc) micro-services design and development, good understanding of spring core, spring boot, and spring cloud framework
• Experienced in system analysis and architecture design, experienced in RESTful API design and development, idempotency, and data fault tolerance
• Experience with monitoring/troubleshooting skills and familiar with AppDynamic, Splunk, and Grafana
• Understand basic front-end technology like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, and web reactive frameworks/tools (React.js, Webpack, Redux) is a plus
• Knowledge of testing frameworks including JMeter and Cucumber
• Proven experience in project management in an international financial institution
• Proven experience in working with a global dispersed team
• Good communication skills and an ability to collaborate with stakeholders
• Proven troubleshoot ability for testing support, production support

Additional skills that will be good to have:

• Payments knowledge would be an advantage
• Knowledge in project management area will be an advantage
• Knowledge in cloud-native related experience, especially in GCP
