Triage GP

Nexus Health Group London Hybrid temporary

Description

Nexus Health Group is seeking a Triage GP for a 12-month fixed-term position. The successful candidate will work as part of a Total Triage team of GPs, nurses, GP Assistants, and receptionists to triage incoming AccuRx medical forms for the whole of Nexus.

The role involves delivering high-intensity digital triage of medical forms to a consistently high standard. This is a non-patient-facing role, but you will need to occasionally speak to patients on the phone. The post holder will perform rapid clinical assessment, prioritisation, and safe disposition, resolving appropriate clinical and administrative issues within a single interaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of a highly integrated multidisciplinary team
  • Learning and adhering to local systems, pathways, and operational processes
  • Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous clinical records
  • Communicating clearly, confidently, and empathetically within time-limited consultations
  • Using digital platforms (including AccuRx) as a core clinical tool
  • Escalating, referring, or signposting patients safely and appropriately

The role requires a high level of digital competence, including confident use of AccuRx or similar systems, and the ability to rapidly learn local IT systems, clinical pathways, and procedures.

The salary for this position is £12,000 per session per annum.

The initial 3 months will be site-based at the brand-new purpose-built Harold Moody Health Centre, followed by the possibility of remote working.

Please note that candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application, and unfortunately, the organisation is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
