Operations Research Scientist

We are seeking an Operations Research Scientist to join our information technology operations planning team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing advanced analytics and optimization models for strategic and tactical decision-making associated with supply-chain planning, as well as data analysis support.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver robust implementable solutions for complex supply chain planning requirements using modeling approaches
• Lead small projects to implement new and improve existing functionalities including articulating requirements and translating them into effective solutions
• Invent prototypes or proof of concepts as part of some research on optimization-based or simulation-based systems
• Apply optimization, simulation, statistical and data analytic techniques to develop strategic decision management tools
• Perform quantitative analysis and build business and product scenarios to help the business unit improve profitability and market share

Requirements:

• Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of professional working experience, including 3+ years of experience with deterministic optimization methodology
• Strong hands-on experience with optimization solvers like Matlab, CPLEX, Gurobi, ExpressMP, SAS (OptModel) for solving Supply Chain problems
• Advanced Excel skills as well as knowledge of VBA and SQL
• Consistent track record of using analysis to deliver business results
• Self-starter who can take charge of complex tasks with minimal direction
• Ability to work independently and multi-functionally with other staff members
• Statistical analysis, machine learning and data-modeling in a database environment a plus

The base salary range is 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD.
