Description
The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Tool and Fixture Specialist to join our dynamic Manufacturing Team in Heath, OH.
As a Tool and Fixture Specialist, you will be responsible for performing required tool set up, maintenance, inspection, and repairs. You will manufacture assembly tools using appropriate precision tools and machinery, operate various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required, and use precision equipment to build, maintain, and inspect tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing tool set up, maintenance, inspection, and repairs
- Manufacturing assembly tools using precision tools and machinery
- Operating factory support equipment to move materials and tools
- Using precision equipment to build, maintain, and inspect tools
- Providing tooling support to other organizations
- Designing fabrication and assembly tools per part engineering drawings
- Demonstrating functionality of fabrication and assembly tools
- Resolving problems with tools to produce acceptable parts and assemblies
The position requires 5+ years of experience with tooling manufacturing, 5+ years of experience in fabrication tooling, and 5+ years of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools. The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is also required.
Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with set-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machine tools, and experience working with tool and cutter grinding processes.
