Development Manager - EA SPORTS™ UFC

The EA SPORTS UFC franchise offers an electrifying spectacle and entertainment of MMA for over 20 million players globally. It delivers fluid and responsive mixed martial arts through inventive gameplay technology.

Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, the EA SPORTS UFC team aims to become the world's greatest fighting game. As a Development Manager, you will report to a Development Director and ensure game feature delivery is on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage a development team consisting of Software Engineers, Animators, Artists, Producers, Designers, and QV.
• Provide project management support, schedule work, track dependencies, identify risks, and facilitate prioritization decisions.
• Collaborate with other project managers to resolve cross-team issues and improve project management processes.
• Ensure project setup and progress align with leadership expectations and complete status reports.
• Establish processes to define workflows, document procedures, and engage team members.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management or Project Lead Experience with production lifecycles, processes, and project planning.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Game Development, or Business.
• Experience in a software development environment, including using tools like Jira.
• Experience working with expansive teams with diverse skillsets, experience, and backgrounds.
• Familiarity with tools like Miro, Slack, Excel, Google Sheets, and other project-tracking and reporting tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including summarising complex information and communicating risks.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to use generative AI productivity tools for daily workflow optimisation.
