Description
We are looking for a DevX team member to serve a large, socially responsible, big data business. The ideal candidate will have strong developer skills and be able to work on various tasks such as technical writing, training, release management, and tool-evangelism.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a 'tool' evangelist, explaining core system capabilities and managing upcoming version and change logs
- Help support new tools/systems, including triage of incoming questions and issues
- Identify, analyze, and help resolve program support deficiencies
- Identify areas for cooperation with other teams to improve overall quality and implement initiatives improving testing capability and efficiency
- Maintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business
- Walk-through documentation and produce examples, including demos and GitHub walkthroughs
- Generate and deliver technical documentation materials, either by video or written examples
Skills
- Languages/Environments: Java, STG, Markdown, Azure, AWS, Docker, HPCC, Apache, Spark, Databricks, SpringBoot
- Ability to learn new software packages quickly, including advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Passion for developer experience and enablement
- Technical writing and editing competencies, knowledge, and skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage workflow and manage multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision
