We're looking for a Loss Adjuster to join our expanding Southland/Central Otago team. As a Loss Adjuster, you'll assess damage on-site, establish costs, facilitate repairs, and communicate with all parties involved.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, scope, and cost damage to domestic and commercial property claims
- Liaise with customers who have suffered a loss and need support through the claim process
- Work with brokers and insurer partners
- Facilitate the settlement of insurance claims involving analysing cause of losses, reporting to insurers, dealing with contractors and other suppliers, agreeing repair scopes and costs, agreeing quantum of claims, and communicating with customers and all involved parties
Requirements:
- Passion for helping people
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to be flexible for the business to respond to customers' needs
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance sector
- Trade background – Motor vehicle/building sector, mechanical or engineering
