As a Senior UI Software Engineer on the Battlefield UI Engine team, you will build and evolve the underlying technology powering UI across all game modes, live services, and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Engine-Level UI Architecture: Design, implement, and modernize core UI systems, layout pipelines, input handling, and data-driven UI frameworks.
- UI Performance & Memory: Profile, budget, and optimize runtime UI cost (CPU cycles, draw calls, memory footprint, and frame-time stability) during intensive multiplayer gameplay.
- Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Partner closely with UI artists, technical designers, rendering, and gameplay engineers to solve complex UI integration challenges across platforms.
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical investigations into complex UI/engine bugs, guide architecture decisions, and mentor team members.
Qualifications
- Core C++ & Systems: Strong C++ background in performance-critical, real-time codebases (AAA games, game engines, or complex interactive software).
- UI & Runtime Experience: Solid understanding of game UI architecture (HUD/menu runtime systems, layout/draw pipelines, event/input handling, or data binding).
- Performance & Profiling: Strong grasp of CPU/memory optimization, multi-threading, debugging, and UI profiling tools/budgets.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Proven track record of breaking down complex problems and partnering with both content creators and core tech teams.
