Staff Data Scientist, Notifications

We are looking for a Staff Data Scientist, Notifications to join our Core Engineering team.

What you'll do:

• Develop measurement frameworks and metrics to drive data-driven decision making, optimizing for the full user journey, including product recommendations.
• Clearly communicate recommendations to product and engineering leadership on how to evolve our Notifications strategy.
• Conduct opportunity sizing and analysis, writing clear, actionable analyses to help teams identify areas for improvement.
• Partner with product, engineering, and ML leadership to prioritize and scope projects, informing the development of the notifications user experience and ML systems.
• Improve machine learning models powering notifications delivery and content.
• Mentor other data scientists, demonstrating high-quality output.

What we're looking for:

• 8+ years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying scientific methods to solve real-world problems on web-scale data.
• Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and/or experimentation.
• Expertise in at least one scripting language (Python/R).
• Proficiency in SQL/Hive.
• Strong business and product sense, with excellent communication skills.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, iterating on a user product via A/B experimentation.
• Experience leading key technical projects and substantially influencing the scope and output of others.

Benefits:

• Base salary range: $164,695-$339,078 USD.
• Eligible for equity.
