Industrial Welder - Memphis

SpaceXAI is seeking an Industrial Welder to support the buildout of high-performance data centers. You will fit and weld large industrial piping and structural steel to ASME Section IX standards.

Responsibilities:

• Fit, tack, and weld large-bore industrial piping and structural steel according to ASME Section IX welding procedure specifications.
• Lay out, cut, bevel, grind, and align joints; check fit-up and reinforcement before and after welding.
• Read and interpret isometric, spool, and structural drawings; work to weld maps and heat numbers.
• Support hanging of strut, supports, and structural members; assist with equipment set and bolt-up.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including staging and inventory of materials and tools.
• Follow safety protocols, including LOTO, PPE, and hot-work permits.
• Report damaged materials, rejected welds, and unsafe conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of journey-level industrial construction welding experience, or equivalent military experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on experience with GTAW (TIG) on stainless steel and/or SMAW (stick) on carbon steel.
• ASME Section IX qualification or ability to pass a pre-employment weld test.
• Experience working at heights, outdoors, and on changing construction sites.
• Familiarity with welding machines, torches, grinders, and related tools.
• Strong safety mindset and willingness to follow site procedures.
• Prior experience on data center, industrial, or heavy-civil construction sites.
