Description
We are seeking an Inbound Expert to join our General Merchandise team at Target.
The Inbound Expert role provides an opportunity to develop skills in guest service, retail business fundamentals, and process efficiency.
As an Inbound Expert, you will:
- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues
- Execute a detailed, accurate, and efficient sorting operation
- Stock, organize, and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor
- Maintain product availability on the sales floor for General Merchandise categories
- Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise
- Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Work in a safe manner at all times and comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and Drive up
This role requires:
- A welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Ability to accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Ability to climb up and down ladders
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting, carrying, and moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
