Asst Pantryman - PTAMI

Job Description:

We are seeking an Asst Pantryman to join our team on board our ships. As an Asst Pantryman, you will assist the 1st Pantryman in preparing special breakfast items to meet passenger requests. You will properly prepare fruit and cheese platters for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and perform production in assigned area/station as directed by the 1st Pantryman/Sous Chef/Executive Chef.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the 1st Pantryman in preparing special breakfast items to meet passenger requests.
• Properly prepare fruit and cheese platters for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Perform production in assigned area/station as directed by the 1st Pantryman/Sous Chef/Executive Chef.
• Promptly restock coffee stations and maintain them in a clean and organized condition at all times.
• Operate the coffee service line.
• Willingly assist the Executive Chef with special events, which may include fruit and vegetable carving.
• Promptly pick up food orders from the food service area and ensure proper storage of food.

Requirements:

• One year of prior work experience in a galley environment (cold dishes) is required.
• Knowledge of basic cold food preparation, presentation, and preservation is required.
• Basic knowledge of public health and sanitation regulations and procedures is required.
• Preferably, applicants should have basic training in the galley department.
• The ability to organize and complete work by deadlines is required.
• Command of the English language, both verbal and written, is required.
